Mission

Our mission at transcenDANCE is to provide equitable access to dance and performance, and holistic wraparound services, for young people from marginalized communities. We support youth as they transcend barriers, recognize their own potential and power, and create positive change for themselves, their families, and their communities.

Vision

We envision communities that center youth voice and creative expression in building healthy, vibrant, and equitable environments where everyone can thrive.

Goals

1.Alter program calendar to move CREATE schedule to Jan - July so that summer programming student and family needs can be met during June and July. Focus fall on CONNECT launch, outreach CREATE performances, art power master classes and outings, CREATE theme partnerships, and professional development training.
2.Complete emergency succession plan and begin work on eventual leadership transition plan.
3.Explore new ways to support mental health services in 2025-2026 for CREATE students. Hire social/emotional coach to provide student support in both group and 1:1 sessions
